Blessed Sacrament Parish provides a number of opportunities, listed below, for children, youth and adults to grow in their faith. Parishioners can sign up through our Stewardship form (Living Out Our Baptism) when they join the parish, or during the annual sign-up opportunity in January, or any time throughout the year by calling the parish office.
Sunday Preschool – offered weekly for 1-5 year-olds during the 10 a.m. Mass in the lower level of the school
Children’s Liturgy of the Word – offered for K-5th graders during the 10 a.m. Mass; children are dismissed with a catechist to the Gathering Space to experience the readings at their own level of understanding and return to the assembly at the time of the presentation of the gifts
Youth Group – offered for 6th-8th graders two Sundays a month from 4:30-5:45 in the Life House
Quincy Spirit – offered every other Wednesday evening from September through May for mentally challenged children-adults
Vacation Bible School – offered each summer for preschool through 5th grade for five days; morning and evening sessions available
Scouting – Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, and Girl Scouts available
SWAT – offered weekly from 6-8 at the Life House for 9th -12th grade and young adults
For Young Adults and Adults:
Bible Study – one program offered Monday mornings September through May after 7 a.m. Mass in the Gathering Space. There are also various offerings throughout the year in 6 or 8 week formats, daytime and evening sessions available.
Parish Missions – offered annually
RCIA – offers participation as Sponsors or Team Members in year-round process of faith formation for those seeking entry into the Catholic church
Why Catholic? – offered in two 6-week sessions each year (one leading up to Advent; one during Lent); daytime and evening groups meet at the parish or in homes; focus for 2011-2012, Christian Prayer
